Can anyone help with advice? I've only had my allotment since last May and put some onions in in September to over winter. they were growing beautifully until we had the snow recently. Now they look a bit sad - will they perk up again?

I'm concerned because i put leeks in in the summer which grew well until October time and then just stopped growing at all.

Quotewill they perk up again?

Yes! this is quite a normal thing at this time of the year.

I dopn't know your location but toward the end of this month ( March) I will be giving my lot a 'high nitrogen' feed to boost them into growth again.

Thanks all for your welcome and the advice. I'm popping down to the plot in half an hour and will feel better knowing that the onions are probably alright!

Welcome Neon, as TG says if we know your location it may help with advise, put it on your profile and it will come out under your name. My onions were flat on the floor after the snow and only this last few weeks have they perked up.  ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.
