Allotments 4 All

last weekend one of the old boys whose been at the site the longest told me that covering the soil with black plastic to stop the weeds and warm the soil was a good idea and he'd try it himself next year.
then yesterday I was told by another old boy that my raised beds were a good idea cos they broke the plot down into nice manageable chunks.
has the world gone mad?!? the recent sunshine must have gone to their heads! normally I can't do a thing right and whatever I do is at the wrong time of year... bless'em ;D

The old guard actually take on ideas, once they've seen them "working"... jus loathe to try new things for themselves... "innovation" isn't a good idea to many of them. Well done for getting them to see the error of their ways...  ;D
