Looking for something else I came across this wonderful 'Dig for Victory' film, showing how to dig, use a hoe, chit and plant potatoes etc. Worth a look!

If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

A truely inspiring piece of film ... and just as relevant today.

Brilliant! If only I could get my OH interested, my plot could be as good as that-maybe! ;D
Notsure about "an hour and a half a week" being enough though!

Mushy Pea

Really enjoyed this film.

It made me smile when the narrator suggested that digging was much better when you had good company.  ;D

This made me chuckle - I loved the film - but it reminded me that I was going to do my bit and "dig for victory" by digging up my front lawn!  Then I got my Allotment and didn't have to!!!  (I've had it 3 years now).  My back garden is small and the front long, narrow and underused!  Yes it looks lovely, makes a nice entrance to the house, has a fountain, and a seat etc  etc etc but I seriously considered doing away with it so I could grow veg!  I still haven't given up the idea - once the lottie is full to bursting I might be eyeing up the lawn again!!!

LOL

Grow yer bugger grow!

Like the bit about how it only takes an hour or two a week to cultivate an allotment!

Sparkly

Great link, thanks. An hour or two LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes a great link Deb, I think the hour or two was probably meant for when it was up and running.  :-\        ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.
