I have some grain amaranth seeds left (2007 harvest, sample germinated OK 12/2008) and am looking to swap for the following oddments to plug some holes in my 2009 sowing plan:

especially catnep, but also
Herbs such as madder, weld, chamomile, hyssop, good king henry, wormwod, tansy and sweet cicely
Sweet peppers
Any weird and wonderful squash varieties
Any interesting salad leaves

For more info on grain amaranth see the Real Seeds amaranth page, http://www.realseeds.co.uk/grains.html, where the original seed came from. Any takers?

Thanks,

Hi SA. Do they take up much room please. We only have a 1/2 plot but would love to try them. Thanks.
Janet.

They grow to about 5-6ft, would probably make a good screen for compost heap, etc. You could grow a few and see whether you like them enough to grant them more space next year?
If you're still interested, PM me your address and I'll post some to you.
