Do you remember your dreams?

There's only two dreams that i can remember,
one started when i was about 8 and all it was, was a black background with two white matchstick men going up and down on a see-saw, it lasted for what seemed years and i was scared to go to sleep, it still sends a bit of a shiver down my spine talking about it :-[

After reading Pescador's thread about stupid things people do reminded me of my other dream. I must of been about 20 at the time.
I was robbing a bank and gave the cashier a note to say give me your money, as she was putting the money in the bag she started to cry and said she would get into trouble as i had not filled in my name and address, me being a softy said not to cry and i filled in my details. Next thing i know is i'm on a deck of an old shack in a swamp, playing the banjo along side an old guy (i think i had watched the deer hunter the day before ;D) then all this shouting started and there was S.W.A.T everywhere. Then the dream ended.

Anyone else have a strange dream from their past and have you ever tried to have it analysed?

never had it analysed but it frightens the life out of me to remember it
Not long married and with a baby on the way, I dreamed someone broke into our flat(not living in a flat at the time  ;D )
after much wandering around, I went into the hall with a GUN, shot at the burglar, just as Ray came into the hall, shot him dead !!!!!
makes me break into a cold sweat, thinking about it  :o

My reaccuring childhood nightmare was really odd, and you will all think I am soft, but I was lying in the dessert, with my dad at my side, both on our bellies, looking under an old fashioned hosptial curtain/blind, the sort on wheels they pull around the side of the beds, and we were hiding from cowboys and indians that were hurtling down the hillside towards us.  As they started thundering past our faces I would always awake terrified.  It plagued me for donkey's years, no idea what it meant but it was so vivid and in glorious technicolour.

Oh, I thought this was going to be a thread about our hopes and dreams, you know, way back yonder after school years, LOL.

I've only ever dreamt the same thing twice.  Where I grew up, there was a church at the top of the hill and I dreamt that a very scary big black dog wouldn't let me walk past it.  I really needed to but it kept barking, snarling and trying to bite me to stop me getting passed.  Went on like that until I woke up in a bit of a state.  Several months later (maybe even longer) I started dreaming it again but this time I got a little further and it turned out that the dog was trying to protect his carrot patch in the cemetary.  :-\ :-X

I often dream about the village i grew up in, but in my dreams the village is deserted with just dogs roaming the streets, and I'd be running scared from the people i was scared of as a child from the village. ???

I have two recurring dreams. The first is where I am living in a massive house one where you go through one room to get to another. I go through these rooms and they get more antiquated as I go. I keep thinking how useful they would be for the kids if  I could get them cleaned up.All me kids are gone now but still dream about the same house. The other dream I have I dream more often. I am on holiday and the plane is due to leave and I can't find the room to get my clothes all packed. Everythoing seems to go against me even Tony just sitting there and not bothering to help and me running round like a headless chicken trying to pack the suitcases.(Thats given me typists cramp)
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

This is a bit spooky, I have two recurring dreams (often years apart) and one is very similar to that one!
I am also in a large house that I know to be mine, but does not resemble any house I have actually lived in. I know there are parts to the house that are old and antiquated, and I sometimes wander through them from the 'used' parts of the house, and think how useful these extra rooms would be for friends staying over, kids etc. Thick dust everywhere, I find several decorative objects I recognise, but do not own in real life....odd eh?

The other one starts with a long bus ride into the countryside, and ends up with me teaching at a riding school, taking out a group for a hack over moorland.....bet someone will make something rude out of that! ;)
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

HEy Deb do you access these rooms through a side door in the downstairs hall on the right. If so were dreaming about the same house. Also the rooms that are occupied the kids beds are all cramped together. Th strange thing is that the further you go into the house the more broken down it becomes. Like something left over from victorian times

Had an awful experience where I had gone back to sleep early morning and in that

time I dreamt of a tragedy where a person lost his life, when I visited my friend later

she told me the awful news  --  that I already knew !

Don't want to go there again.

Nope, I go upstairs into an attic room and the other 'old' rooms lead off from there. Sometimes a friend is in one of the 'old' bedrooms having stayed over, and although I am not surprised to see her I realise I had forgotten she was there! All of the rooms are covered with thick dust but no one else seems to notice or care about that. It is always the exact same house, and when I am dreaming it, I realise I have had this dream before but it always ends differently. I'm sure someone could interpret all this...goodness knows what it means though!

I regularly have dreams one or more a night and wake up remembering them- not always in great detail. They often have people in them that I have had contact with recently but can also have people that have not seen or heard from in years or only vaguely knew perhaps from school (almost 30 years ago). The dreams are often weird .I have spoken to my husband asking him if he dreams and it is a rare occasion if he does. I wonder if it is because I am always doing something and do not often sit down for long so my mind is full of lots of things.

I sometimes dream of people who are no longer with us and they seem so real. I also dream about my kids when they were little.Very strange world the dream world

i had a recurring dream for years where the begining would be different but for some reason at some point i would need to dial 999 for the police or ambulance etc and no matter how many times i tried i never ever could get through. Then i had to dial 999 for real for an ambulance and i couldnt get through for ages, never had the same dream since.

The best/worse dream i ever had involved my nan. I used to visit her every week in her nursing home but the week she died my daughter was too ill for us to go. I always felt i never had the chance to say goodbye to her and worried about this for a few years afterwards.
One night i dreamt that she had come to tell me that she had to go, that i wouldnt see her again but she would always be with me wherever i went. in the dream i was sobbing my heart out and when i woke up i was sobbing in my sleep too. I woke up feeling at peace with having said goodbye at last. My dad reckons it was my conscience, i like to think she came back to say goodbye to me  :)
