I re-use the same containers over and over for freezing soup etc. but haven't found an easy way of labelling them. Indelible pen won't come off, neither will sticky labels. What do you use?

Another sticky label over the previous one!!  :)

I use the plastic containers as a mould to freeze the goodies then repackage to a simple freezer bag which is used once and disposed of.

I'm with Saddad - there's no end to the number of stickly labels you can use. And if you want to be really thrifty, use the same container for the same contents and there's no need for a new label - just change the date!

I do the same as Eric and use freezer bags, I find you can fit more things in the freezer that way as they take less room up.

I use a permanent marker on a freezer bag when flat, put it in a plastic bowl or container then fill and freeze with whatever.  Take the bowl away when it's frozen, and when thawing just put it in the same size bowl or container.  ;)

Often I just take 3 bricks of different colours to defrost in the slow cooker, then top up with whatever needs using up plus the meat. I know I'm lazy but I've had lots of practice and I'm getting very good at it.'

I have never labelled.  I either never have enough to freeze because it gets eaten straight away;  and the stuff I do freeze is never in the freezer for longer than 3 months before being eaten.  (Or it could be down to the fact that I do not have enough room to grow enough stuff to allow me to freeze any of it ::) ::))

I use tupperware labels on plastic boxes and they just seem to come off when the box is washed. I bought a load of them about 30 years ago and I'm stlll using  :o :o ;Dthem.
