And why not use a type-designrd stopper which keeps the fizz indefinitely?

I saw something about this on TV recently.

People had taste tests which proved the silver spoon business was a load of rubbish....infact Im pretty sure that the stuff that was left uncorked the longest still had nearly all its fizz

I saw the same program - the spoon made no discernible difference. Program might have been Saturday Morning Cook?

We've always done this, tho if we open a bottle it doesn't usually last long enough to test the theory properly  :P :P :P :P

always use a prper champagne stopper this keeps it perfectly fizzy
