Allotments 4 All

My allotment society in Northampton is looking for a shipping container so we can store our tools securely.    Not a lot of money to spend, so would be pleased to recycle one not currently in use, but would be willing to pay a reasonable amount.

Does anyone know of such a resource for this type of storage, or can you share your experience of finding such an item.

I've never tried to buy one myself! but if you google "second hand shipping container" there's loads of results...

Im in Northampton too, maybe if you look in the Yellow pages for shipping companies and ask if they have any redundant or damaged ones they want to get rid of.

I wouldn't have a clue as to cost, but I know they would charge something for delivery.

There is one on our site... could ask where he got it from... I know we took it up to the plot in sections...  :-\

We have a proper security container on our site, it's about the size of a small shipping container(20'). They got a lottery grant to buy it and buy a summerhouse/clubhouse.

Might be worth getting in touch with the lottery.
I will try and find out where they got it from.

We have just got one for our sailing club, 40' container, very used & it cost us £400 - mates rates.  I hope you can get one at the price you are looking for.
