He has yards of them! Size is almost vulgar.

Great for juicing?

I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

What variety? Look like Autumn King... bit of splittling but not too bad!
  ;D

PurpleHeather

Yup

I thought that they were just for colour, tried to grow them for ages but got carrot fly every time and never got a harvest.

Then surrounded them with marigolds this year and we are still enjoying them. Fresh from the ground and they do have a taste. WOW

Variety? I'll ask.

Root veg always grow better 'in the field' than in our 'garden'. But ours have done us proud this year. Both in the ground & in raised beds.

I've got loads of Autumn King and quite a few of them are positive monsters - big as a video!   ;D ;D
I soup them.

I grew them in barrels, flippin' massive!

Purple haze and Eskimo tasted far better obviously, but after four failed plantings of other varieties (in the ground) the size of the ACs was highly welcome.
