I have been sent some cds with photos on from different people. For some reason I can't view them on this computer. Any ideas please?

ray had the same problem , turns out, the photos had been put on a cd instead of a dvd..do they work on your dvd player, maggie or any other computer?

Emagggie

Not playable on dvds either Mal,not sure whether they work on other computers, I will ask the senders. But I do have others on cds that I can view. Frustrating to say the least.

Hi Emaggie the cd might not be auto-run.  So pop it in the cd tray then goto start, then click on computer, you will see the cd drive, right click it and then open from there.  It might ask what programme you want it to open with, so choose your photo's programme and it should work if that's the problem

What colour is the CD on the underside.  This will help to identify the type of disc used.

Emagggie

That beautiful silvery rainbow colour martin. 8)

Couldn't download it Flighty, but thanks anyway.
Sinbad it worked for all but one disc :D. I suspect the disc has nothing on it. Shame, as it was of my birthday celebrations. Maybe they are best left unseen  ;D. I can email my pal and he will email the photos to me.Thanks again, wonderperson. :-*

Have you viewed the contents of the disk with windows explorer. This should let you know if the disk has contents or not.

Emagggie

Thanks Eristic, I had a look in Nero and it says it is empty!
