For £25 - what have I been waiting for?? (Coopers)

BUT.....a Ceramic sharpener can cost £85!!

PS Aha! I see that that is for steel knives. So where's a sharpener for Ceramics - apart from using the maker's service?

I think you can probably get ceramic sharpeners for much less.
http://www.cooks-knives.co.uk/acatalog/Knife_Sharpeners.html Have a look here for example or even try Ebay. Or did you have a particular one in mind?

tim

Ah, yes! But those are ceramic sharpeners for steel knives?

Nice try - but a bit misleading? All steel blades (including the hardened Japanese ones), I assume. A Ceramic Sharpener is unlikely to cope with a ceramic knife. You need diamonds, I believe? Oh, & the cheaper ceramics are sharpened on one side only - just to confuse you!!

Wish you were right - I'll just have to save them for best.

But I love the idea of the coloured knives - I'm a great believer in colour coding!

tim

Aha!!  Now I just have to check that it will do the single sided ones.

tim, they will stay sharp for sooo long anyway, you have plenty of time to find a sharpener
