I could just about live with the cabbage man, but the other two... :o

Interesting differences in the set ups though, I found myself rooting for the 'challenger' bloke because he obviously didn't have the resources of the eventual winner, more old sheds and greenhouses rather than huge polytunnels.

Their wives must have the patience of Saints...getting up at 4am to check for bugs?! :o

Yes, I was hoping for a few tips... but it was a good programme anyway. What characters & all with very patient OH's! I suspect Peter's Mrs may have regretted her comment towards the end, something like, "last night I slept with the competition winner, and nobody else can say that"...
