Think I'd like a few of them in our garden.  Don't suppose you could send a few up North Staffs ;D ;D ;D

I'm passing in a few weeks...I'll put some in the car and open the window as we pass! ;D

Thanks for the info Kea, I always wondered what they ate.
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

Thanks for that Kea,  ;D

I get millions of those on the Golden rod on the edge of my plot. Golden rod can be invasive and sometimes my plot neighbours warn me about it but it was on the plot when I first cleared it and I like it.

Now I can enjoy it with a clear conscience.

... I am warmed by winter sun and by the light in your eyes.
I am refreshed by the rain and the dew
And by thoughts of you...

Golden rod's OK if you've got space. It was a menace in a small garden in Oxford when I was a kid, but I'm quite happy to have a few patches on the allotment.

Thanks for posting this Kea!  I found one on comfrey flowers yesterday and couldn't get a decent picture to ask here.  Now I know!

Well I'm glad that helped everybody. Sometimes if you have something like this and you answer the question yourself it's helpful to post the info as it may help someone who hasn't managed to search in the right place to find the answer. I confess to killing the first one I found. :-[
