Mine are very poor, pale leaves and not many flowers. (Enorma) I did make quite a deep trench which had plenty of old horse manure put in. Hope they improve soon, got about 6 beans at moment.

norfolklass

wow!
I was a little late with mine again this year, they're only about a foot high :-[

Mine are also looking a little sorry for themselves this year, plot is quite windy though and TBH prob need an extra feed too... ::)
Smile at your enemies.

It makes them wonder what you are up to.

Tulipa

mine are looking sad too, I am off to buy some Miracle Grow this afternoon as I have read on here that will make them better - I hope so..... ;)

mine are also looking terrible, everytime we have high winds they fall off the canes, they don,t seem strong enough to cling on.I,m growing (or should I say trying to grow) Mergoles as they were really good last year.don,t hold out much hope for this puny lot though

Apart from rotted manure I have also watered with miraclegrow. I did wonder if the strong winds we have been having might have been cause of poor results. (East Anglia ALWAYS has strong winds) I have had to give help with the plants climbing. As I only have a garden I don't grow much veg but runner beans are my favourite :'(

Looking good Tone, mine are about two weeks behind.  ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.
