Swiss Chard

I seem to be able to grow this.  :)
But my wife doesn't like it boiled or steamed  :(

Any ideas of what I can do to it to improve it and so that it can still be served as a veg with a roast dinner (rather than doing pasta sauce with it)?

Oh year, vegetarian and low fat please!

Sorry - don't do low fat! But here's my favourite:

Separate the stalks & leaves and dunk in a bowl of water to clean it up.
Then take the leaves (with the water "attached") & steam as for spinach (ie. in a heavy saucepan with the lid on).
Strain any liquid into another pan & cook the stalks in that.
Meanwhile chop the leaves & add to a bechamel or cheese sauce. (Add any left-over cooking liquid as well, if you like.)
Arrange the cooked stalks in a gratin dish, pour the sauce over, add a little grated cheese and/or breadcrumbs if you want to, then bake until golden & bubbling.

stir fried in a little oil or sray oil stalks chopped into pan followed by leaves cut into ribbons add a little chopped fresh chillies to taste or toasted pine nuts serve as side veg (my other half thinks he doesnt like chard but eats this you can mix a little spinach in to fool them if you  need to ;)

Omelette! One of my favourite recipes:

Fry spring onion, chopped chard/spinach leaves & watercress lightly in butter in a frying pan. Before it gets 'juicy' add addled eggs (no milk!) & when it's set on the bottom chuck ground black pepper, philadelphia cheese & parmesan on top.

Grill until the cheese has melted. Fold it over and serve with new potatoes & salad stuff from the allotment  ;D
