Nice, I like the car tyre idea... how do you find things do in them?

Brogusblue

Hello

I have a good sucess rate in the car tyres, Currently i have peas, beans, onions, & carrots in tyres and in a old frezzer i had have my spuds and the the old fridge another lot of carrots.

In the tyres around the fruit trees i currently have more onions

Just use a good top soil (wickes 5 for £10) and compost and a little sand and manure or chicken pellets

Nice results from yours (and nephews) hard work. I have a water butt, my late husband sat and cut 110 holes in it (from his wheelchair) which I fill with busy lizzies and petunias each year. Looks really great later in the year. We first saw the idea on our journey to our chalet at Scratby. I have forgotten the name of the village but every house had a similar display outside on the grass verge.
Nice to see your nephew has joined A4A.
