I love thinnish toast sandwiches - esp for Bacon, Ham etc. With Mustard, Mayo etc.

But am I alone in toasting one side only & putting that INSIDE?

Intsead of a crunch & then a sog, you get a soft entry followed by a surprise crunch!

If you haven't tried it, you have a treat awaiting!

Will try surprising my husband with that one, Tim. Thank you.
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

When I was a child, we always had toast done on just one side. I thought everyone had it like that. When I got married, I cooked beans on toast for OH. He couldnt believe I hadnt done 2 sides.

Thanks to a toaster, it isnt an issue now ;D

Tim, toast isn't toast unless it is slightly blackened....or caramelised as the chefs call it.

Snap!

Toaster? That's another reason for the thinnish slices - to get them in back-to-back?

oh that's how you do it - I was going to ask if you toast in the Aga  :)

charcoal is good for the digestion so charred toast is as good as a BBQ - sounds good but I must stop reading your posts at lunchtime  ;D

Wonderful. Recipes for toast!

If you then put the two toasted sides together and put it back into the toaster to toast both sides of  the thin bread slices does it become melba toast?

Named after Dame Nellie Melba (of peach melba fame, she also sang a bit).

I think the half done toast needs a name too. Timtoast?
