Looks like breast of lamb to me.

After 3 hours cooking in 5 Spice & veg!

Then boned & pressed. Served with the strained stock reduced to syrup. And mashed Root Veg & Kale!!

I say it again - you eat so well in your house - how come you are not the size of michelin man  ;D perhaps you are and that pic of yours isn't you at all  :o

Breast of lamb is one of my all time favourites, got to be cooked slowly, whatever you do with it.
And yes, some butchers (or at least producers) do give it away, it's a crying shame really, for the flavour, even when cooked plainly, is so very good.

I started with an advantage, Calendula - just dug this out recently

I adore slow-cooked food. It is cheap to buy the ingredients but have reasoned with the high cost of fuel these days that fillet steak could become a less expensive meal.

I buy breast of lamb.  I boil it up to loosen all the bones and fat.

Dice all the meat I can get off it and then use it as a base for a lamb curry.

My butcher unfortunately sells his breasts of lamb to me though.. I pay up to £3.50 for them.

my father was a cameraman throughout the war and I have a fab collection of films and photos that I look at often. Much of the british stuff is his, D-Day, signing of the peace treaty and so much more - lovely pic

Girlie - yes, I think I boiled mine for several hours, before shredding & shapiing.

"With us"? Regrettably, all gone. Lovely, worthwhile people. I only survived by being put out of action early on.
