hi everyone, just after a bit if advice about relocating a shed. i have got a 8 x6 shed on my current plot, and i am moving plots, if it was empty do you think 3 or 4 adults with the help of rope or canvas straps could move the shed by hand withouh dismantling it.i propose to do this by putting either rope or canvas straps under the shed, and lifting it to its new home about five plots along.i need to do this by monday, so in a rush, not really comfortable about dismantling the shed, and dread to think what it might look like once re assembled!!

Any advice would be welcomed-Thanks ::)

I would think so, if you're careful. Some of us carried a 10x8 greenhouse several hundred yards from one plot to another the other day; if we can do it, so can you.

got a similar problem on a smaller scale - shed is only 6 x 4 - but i have to move it from my back garden about half a mile to allotment - luckly friend can get a pick up van so will be able to use that

OH and SIL moved a 6x4 without dismantaling it. Took door off and picked it up

Seems a bit complicated that does, whats wrong with 4 men, 4 corners, lift walk put down.
When you wake up on a morning say "good morning world" and be grateful

fantastic thanks for all your replies

We did it by putting 2 long bits of wood under and using them to move it - worked very well.
