After 15 years of marriage, my OH is asking hard questions about all the stuff I KNOW will be useful in due course down at Lok'n'Store (books, mags etc).

Reluctantly I'm coming to accept that some folk just don't get it!

Jeannine, yes i made a patchwork, but a square piece one! easier to sew, but the hand stiched octagonal ones take ages!! too impatient!!

those masks are o.k, appreciate the work that goes into them, but are too sinister looking to have in my house!!

Jeannine

I don't do the octagon English paper piecing but I do a great many other shapes than square on the machine.XX Jeannine

I have collect plastic cards for the 15 years and have a huge collection,  the best is that it takes up so little room.  It was great this Christmas all the major shops had a selection as gift cards so managed to collect more that 50 of those.

Early phone cards are the most usual.

Do not do clutter so very little else OH except little PIGS must be under 1/2 inch in high and length.  Have got about 120 of those and again take up very little space.

Shelle

I like anything to do with monkeys (any species) and have loads of ornaments, clocks, candles and even a table (gorilla holding a table top up on its head and hand!).  One clock I have is like a cuckoo clock wit a monkey that pops out on the hour!

Also collect robertsons golly badges - Jeannine do you collect the golly toys or badges?

Started collecting royal mugs, but got bored after I got about 15 of them - still have them but do nowt with them.

Also collected souvenir spoons as a child, people would buy me one wherever they visited, and I have over 200 at the last count.  Again though, as I ran out of space to display them, I gave up and they are now in the back of a cupboard!

Guess the only thing I display all the time are the monkey things.

Jeannine

Hi Shelle, I have a few badges . We have a Rupert room where the Gollies live with Rupert.

Gollie wise we have , a complete band, books, bookends, soap, cushions, slippers, vaious figurines, tins, plates, ect act  and about 100 or so stuffed gollies.

Rupert dominates as he has the  room  with curtain, sheets, annuals going back to 1941 (still working on that) clock, collector plates, soap, talc, sheets, duvetcover, pillow cases about 40 stuffed Ruperts, Doulton figiuines, knitwear I have made, cars, sqeaky toys,, silk tie, scarf, PJ, a one off appliqed quilt that I made with a matching pillow sham and wall hanging, doulton, cup, bowl eggcup etc, games, puppets, rug, bookend, money boxes  ++++ you get the picture.

The Rupert stuff is Johns, the gollie stuff is mine but as you know they are often together so they are room mates.

Wow :o  That is one heck of a collection!  I made a decision early on not to expand and to only collect golly badges, even though there are lots of other golly stuff around.  At least badges are small enough to store ;)

Like the idea of your Rupert room though ;D

Jeannine

I'll get John to get a couple of pictures XX Jeannine

I forgot while saying I'm getting rid of things, I still collect rocks. It drives hubby crazy having to pull off the road on some highways where the lovely rocks tumble down.
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.
