WASHING !

Hung out some whites on the line yesterday.  Within minutes it was covered with little black flies !

I had a good look at the broad beans sitting out in the garden and had a good inspection but they hadn't found their way to them thank goodness.

Surely it's a bit early ??  Will be glad when I get back north.  I don't get blackfly in Glasgow !

Maybe you're on to something though, and I should take some of my old big knickers round to the lottie and hang them up as a sacrificial crop.  ;D

Having said that, OH is in charge of the washing these days, and my whites are definitely not as white as they used to be.  More greys.  ::)  ;)

Grey is the new white !   ;D

OH has been doing the household washing since he took early retirement.  And still hasn't quite got the idea behind why it's necessary to separate the clothes into categories before putting them into the machine.  Bless.  ;)  ;D

It's cos HIS knickers aren't lacy and frilly !   :P

I'm not quite sure mine would qualify under that description either - unless we can count holes as lace, and wiggly elastic as frills.  :-[   ;D
