The time has come to think about how we're going to protect our carrots from carrot fly this year, and we're wondering, has anyone some simple, cheap or foolproof method? We thought of clear plastic rigid sheeting, but this is a bit pricy. I'd love an unnibbled carrot!

Old plain net curtains. The plain close woven type with no decorative borders, dead cheap from charity shops
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.
