Hi Springbokgirlie,

why use such large bags when grow bags will do fine?

I use all my compost bags for taking garden rubbish to the tip.

I am following what Carol Klein did on gardeners world, and as I have 10 chitted potatoes, 3 bags will do it of that size :)  I dont have an allotment, only a small garden.

I am fortunate that the council does a fortnightly collections of garden rubbish :) :)

I think rubble bags are ideal too and would be inclined to use those. They are much stronger than other bags. It would be good if you could get hold of an old fashioned dust bin or something similar that you could use every year.

How about those net laundry thingys with hoops in them every so far ,

you could plant and fill to first hoop then the next ad infinitum, just a thought.

We're given large plastic-y containers for our recycleables. I had 2, asked for another 2 - and guess where my potatoes are going?  ;)

All my recycling stuff, as usual, gets taken to the bins at Aldi's (where I then do a sweep of the bargains..)

Got my life sorted, me 8)
;D

A kind forum member sent me some bags for my potato's.  Absolutely what I was looking for, so THANK YOU :) :) :)

Really grateful to everybody with ideas put forward, thank you.:)

Will be starting them off on Easter Weekend, as I believe this is the traditional time to put spuds in.
