Funny, I imagined she would have a much more professional looking website.

No, you haven't missed anything- yes, she knows her stuff, but I think she's like Marmite, and I'm on the "can't stand her" side!

Multiveg

For laughs on Gardeners Question Time, I like John Cushnie! Bob Flowerdew is good but have gone off his books (printed on other side of world), and I also like Pippa Greenwood.

Rhubarb Thrasher

can't tell what she's like by looking - but Marmite and beans isn't the best combination I can think of

by the way, didn't someone well known (sportsman??) own up for trashing the Blue Peter garden ?

Pesky Wabbit

I'm a big fan of GQT.

1. Roy Lancaster     - Wonderful presenter and supreme designer/gardener/plant hunter
2. Bob Flowerdew   - Big respect for his down to earth gardening and recycling.
3. John Cushnie      - Quite funny
4. Bunny Guinness  - Nice arse

Perhaps Christine does come over as immature but I like her for her expressions of excitement and fun. I feel she is more of a knowledgeable enthusiastic amateur rather than a stuffy know-all (although she is not an amateur at all).  Least favourte would be Monty Don.  I still really miss Geoff Hamilton though.

is that right, or did you just pick a charmless twerp who looks like he might have? Just checked - he said he had, then he said he hadn't

4. Bunny Guinness  - Nice arse

Well I've googled until I'm blue in the face but I can't for the life of me find a picture of Bunny Guiness's arse!

Back on topic...

1. I think Titchmarsh is great.
2. Harry Dobson I could watch all day and not get bored.
3. Geoff Hamilton.
4. Bunny Guiness, because apparently she has a nice arse... Oh, also she  lives just a few miles up the road from me :)

Tony.

Sow it, grow it, eat it.

I watched one of Christine's progs and thought ... What did I actually learn about growing stuff from that pseudo psychological programme? When I decided that I'd learnt nothing and wasn't interested in the relationships stuff I stopped watching.

I find most gardening progs like that. They don't tell me what i want to know. Only Geoff Hamilton, and percy Thrower when i was a child, helped me to be a better gardener. I think Monty is a proper gent but he hasn't taught me anything i didn't know already. Alan is a sweetie but same thing. As for the under 40's!  :o :o :oBetter unsaid. :P

Well, if your passing, and have a camera to hand, could you post them in the Gallery.

This thread started off with the top 3 but has graduated to the top 4 favourites, so here are mine:

Stefan Buczacki

Alan Titchmarsh

Geoffrey Hamilton

Roy Lancaster

OK Number 4:
Rachel de Thame cos she has far more than just a nice arse.  She nearly got into the top 3 on these grounds but I have never seen her grow veggies so unfortunately she got pipped by the woman whose arse (or owt else for that matter) ain't so great. ;D

Kylie's got a great arse- but what does she know about parsnips??

Roy Lancaster's Search For The Wild Asparagus was very good, and the Victorian Garden thing was good too

According to this site... http://www.hotfroguk.co.uk/Companies/Bunny-Guinness

She lives about a mile and a half from where we have our boat and caravan. I must pass directly past her house on the way to the chip shop every week. I've probably stood behind her many times at Morrisons checkout in Stamord.

Thing is, I'd never heard of her until you mentioned her.

She looks too much like Kirsty Gallagherr for me, someone I don't have a great deal of time for.
