Just so happens I have the day off tomorrow, so I might be tempted, given that I can have a lie in  ;D

I didnt realise it was happening ??? Will it start at 3 or is that when it will be in full eclipse?

I'd like to watch it, but dont know if I will manage to stay awake.

At the moment its fairly cloudy, if there is a chance of the skies clearing I will be out there. With big coat, cocoa and lots of socks on :D

There isnt another full lunar eclipse until 2010, so it would be nice for the clouds to go away ;)

I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

I just had a look at sky news and it says the moon will turn red about 3am and go on till about six am.The earth covers the moon completely with its shadow. :)

Think I'll wait for the next one to come along...

Oh that is just the excuse I needed to stay up, there is an item on US e bay that I badly want and I was trying to justify not going to bed. Eclipse at 3pm and item finishes at 3.27, will I make it !!

According to the forecast, its likely to be cloudy all night, so I wont bother. The one last year was brill. though - and at a sensible/practical time.

Still, all that cloud will stop it from freezeing tonight and the sun tomorrow will make a reasonable day temp., good enough to get out in the garden/lottie.

Saw one about 10 years ago at a reasonable time.  One eclipse looks much like another, I guess  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I woke up at 2.40am and thought, Ok, I'll get up in about ten minutes.  Next thing I knew, it was 7.45am!  :(

More importantly, Jeannine, did you stay awake long enough to bid - and did you win?  ;D

Lindsay

Shame I missed this thread last night - it was a lovely clear night here, I could have seen it!!

Jeannine - we are all waiting with baited breath to know if you won your bid!

Multiveg

Cloudy. Clock radio read 1.40am - it seemed awfully light outside for that time. Went back to sleep. Cloud and rain overnight. Wanted to stay up - think I would have done if it had been a clear night.

I had the delight of working on track last night in east London. Sadly ,whilst we got the occasional glimpse, it was always shrouded in cloud.
