I'm going to try to get some bits of Horseradish root out... for the people who have asked for them..
:-\
Well it's thawed now Deb... got some roots out trimmed and washed now off to the P.O. ......
;D

Soil completely frozen at home, so I'm not popping down the plot this afternoon...... :'(
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Well...It's a War thing I think ;D. Britain's Air Ministry encouraged people to grow and eat loads of carrots. They tried to fool the Germans into thinking that the fighter pilots were eating loads of carrots which helped them see in the dark. In actual fact they were secretly developing new technologies in the Airborne Interception Radar, also known as AI.

I've been loving this weather ;D

Just like the good old days when we got good hard frosts to kill off a few pathogens and pests.

Trouble is; its gone  :'(  was that the the last of the 'hard' frosts for this year and should we just expect the odd light frost in early morning from now on?

Our ground is still frozen up here.  Desperate to get on the plot and dig some more over, don't want to break another fork though!!!!!
Looking forward to the Horseradish Saddad!!!!
Thanks!

I agree I would have this kind of weather through the winter - lovely blue skies and a nip of frost in the air. I sleep much better at night for a bit of sunshine - below zero doesn't matter. And my sprouts taste better!

It's in the post Twirlie...
