Looking at investing in one as they seem very reasonably priced in the Sunday papers! Are they too good to be true or does the 5yr. guarantee ring true?
Your views requested:

My Mum has a 6x6 in the back garden.  It has polycarb rather than glass and is in a sheltered area but has been in situ for a least 8 years without problem.

would like some advice on Norfolk green house as well please-polycarbonate-will it get blown  away in the wind?
or is it quite sturdy??

I've had a Norfolk now for 10 months. It's great, strong, sturdy and does what it says on the can  ;)

Cant seem to decide either-each time think I'll go for a GH but next time I feel should go for a PT-saw a good one in gardennews-uk.com website (based in Cornwall)-wanted someone who could help with installation.Have you decided which PT you going in for??

sorry that i'd not seen this thread before (just back from my travels).

My Norfolk greenhouse took direct hits from gales both New Year 2007 & 2008.  It is now due to become a shade house (with missing sheets of plastic being replaced by debris netting).  In my experience they do not stand up well to gales.

I didn't realised I had a 5 year guarantee on it, maybe I'll phone them.

there are good things about Norfolk .... the customer service was really friendly and helpful when I was trying to build the thing originally, and they were cheap.

In hind sight, unless I was living in a mill pond, I wouldn't go there again.

Oh and the roof stays on !

do these greenhouses come with no vents unless you buy the solarvent?

there is a slidey door thing in the rear wall that comes as standard.

Very good value, I've just got rid of my norfolk greenhouse that withstood the hurricane in the 80's, although a bit wonky, still very good as a greenhouse, only got rid of it as I had a polytunnel built.
When I got the greenhouse my Uncle and Aunt gave it to me.  At the price they charge you can not go wrong, enjoy when you decide.
