I managed to get a few hours in the garden today (hurrah) and to my surprise I saw a bumble bee - twice!  Has anyone else spotted any early insects?

in the Garden news last week it said that the buff tailed honeybee has started to overwinter. it seems that usually only the queen (who has the buff tail) survives to start a fresh colony but workers and males have been seen around . Itthinks it could be that there are so many flowers out during the winter months as they need necter to live
