Allotments 4 All

I not sure if this has been mentioned on here anywhere but today I went shopping wiv der missus to Asda and apart from the normal shopping load I spotted a stack of 10 ltr bags of seed and cutting compost @ 2p per bag :o also galvanized jugs as planters @ 2p each :o Hanging Baskets 12" diam 2p each  :o (yes I thought it was a typo error) So came away feeling chuffed with myself. :D

Now someone is going to tell me that its the wrong time of the year to buy that type of compost. :'(

I shall be in asda tomoz most deffo.. nice one... also this time last year I got horticultural fleece dead cheap, was half price, so look out for that, I got loads there, this time last year... stainless stelll spade.. half price .. a fiver... I got rooting hormone powder there too at 2p a shot.. is too good to miss... but thats asda price

Roy I hope my local Asda is doing the same deal. Will be there tomorrow to see. Definite bargain, even if you don't use the seed compost until spring I'm sure it would store okay in a dry place. Thanks for the info.  ;D

Yo Ozzy & Jesseve,  They did have bigger bags of compost about 40 litres for 2p :o sadly I just missed them, :'( peeps were standing over them with their hands on the top waiting for their hubbies to bring in extra trolleys  :-\ and I wouldn’t take on a woman with her hand on a bargain. :o
I went in there looking for a cheap fork and rake as I remember someone on here saying how good they were for the money but they had sold out. :'(
I finished up buying 200ltrs of the compost for just a mere 40 pence, so I was more than happy. ;D

Reason for my search for tools is that I have a meeting with the lottie secretary Wednesday at 10 am on site that can mean only one thing (I hope)  ??? and that must be to choose a plot site, ;D I’ll let you all know how I get on, then I will be firing questions at you all with a gattling gun. 8)

Good luck Roy.  Hope the bargains last at our Asda until Thursday  :-\  doubtful, but you never know your luck.  Don't suppose they were doing a special on Radox were they Roy?  If you get your plot, you will need a job lot!  (oh, and a bottle of whiskey helps with the aches too  :P)
