Green bananas? Yuk and double yuk! They have such a beautiful, complex flavour when fully ripe. Green ones taste of nowt.

:o  but I feel the same about ripe ones, Rob. And no, Tim, wouldn't waste them by cooking them....dark rye crispbread, salted butter & 'green' banana on it (not that the flesh is green, mind ;)) = bliss! And, in fact, after a trip to Aldi with green bananas on my mind, bought the perfect bunch of mini ones, and lunch was lovely 8)

Agree, tho, that a mashed ripe banana is great for babies & seem to remember that Gerber used to do a banana & pineapple pudding in a jar? Much too nice for the baby. I got hooked on it.
