Hello all.I had to dispose of my outdoor tomato plants this week,as they were pretty badly infected with tomato blight, but what i wandered was,do i have to get rid of the bamboo poles aswell?or can i wash them clean for use next year? Wasn't sure if the infection could be passed on this way? Thanks for any advice,Cam.

As always, blight or  not, scrub with Jeyes or Armillatox or Citrox. Discard any split ones. = Tim

Tim, what you mentioned are all brand names. I have never seen anything for sale here to clean plant stuff with. Any idea what kind of universally available stuff can be used for this purpose? Like what is the active ingredient?

Hi Ina  try the famous JEYES FLUID Never fails you .

Jeyes & Armillatox are both tar acids & are EU banned for certain purposes.  Citrox is a very safe product based on citrus essence - http://www.agralan.co.uk/. = Tim

Thank you all for the advice, guess i'll have to have a good look around the shops to see what's available over here that does the same job.Cheers,Cam. 8)
