Thought I'd post a pic of my gorgeous husband, Jon receiving his MBE from Prince Charles last month

I'm so proud that I just wanted to share it with you all

 :-X Can't tell you too much, as I'd have to shoot you afterwards - but basically he works for MOD, 13 years on a programme which protects aircraft from missiles etc. when they are flying in and around conflict areas

We're all very proud of him, and he has worked really hard to help keep our troops protected - it was a great day out at the palace, a good combination of relaxed atmosphere and formality - we all enjoyed it a huge amount, and for those people who remember my various hair colours over this year - I chose a dark brown with turquoise slashes to match my outfit!!! ;D

Mind you having met both Jon and Prince Charles I was wondering, was PC doing an Alan Ladd and standing on a block? I remember Jon as being tall and Charles as being relatively short and stocky???

You're right Grawc - Jon is just short of 6 foot tall, and Charles a little taller, but Charles is stood a step higher than Jon !!

At the MOD, they tend to refer to Her Majesty the Queen as "Aunty Betty"!! :o
