Never tried them but one of the fellas from the allotment say they are
the best part. So I will be trying them this year.

They are very good to eat Deb ;D

Enjoy ;)
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

They're nice as greens.

Also if you leave a few sprouts at the bottom of the stem, later in early spring they shoot out giving you some more greens.

Also when harvesting cabbages, cut it off leaving the stem and a few of the leaves in the ground, they shoot out to - even more greens.
Straight outt'a compton - West Berkshire.

Please excuse my spelling, i am an engineer

Yes - the best bit.

Let'em be till they are hearting well, but try to persuade the whitefly to go elsewhere - they really mess them up.

And if you don't like them, goats apparently adore them. Find someone with a goat and swap for some manure!
For myself I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else.

Nowt better than Brussels Tops.  Far tastier than spring greens, not that I'll get any this year as I didn't make my net frame high enough and those pesky pigeons have had them.
I'd rather be flying
