Still harvesting aubergines! not for long though!
Rosa Bianca! what awesome looking fruits! love em! Applegreen are great too, they have a wonderful texture.
The only ones I won't grow next year are the baby aubergines! they look great in a curry but you have to be on the ball with the harvesting!   

Just out of interest, what varieties will/won't you be growing next year?

Daughter would  love to have painted that lot!

Thai Green, Farmers Long etc.

I'm really excited about growing the long ones next year! I've seen the Thai Green in the seeds companies but not the Farmers Long, where do you buy yours Tim?

23 plants in 3 different greenhouses and not one fruit has made it full term :'(

only this am I made an aubergine curry with a shop bought aubergine and saved the seeds.

I'm going to try a variety unknown from Holland  next year ;)

btw Biscombe your Rosa Bianca looks fab..... just wish mine had fruited ;D

Wow 23 plants, that's about the same as me! will they still keep going in the greenhouse? have you got a heater inthere for when the cold weather kicks in?
It's been a strange year in the UK for weather, I'm sure you'll have success next year, how about the baby ones? they cropped early like cherry tomatoes? just got to be on the ball when harvesting, but they do taste great and look fab in curries. I'm going to give them a miss but I can send you seeds if you want  :)

My first fruits have only just reached plum size. :(

They look fab! 8) I wish I could harvest that many, managed to harvest only one aubergine... it was tiny too! Tasted great though. :) Even baby aubergines failed to set fruits this year. :(

Had no problems with growing aubergines in Glasgow cool greenhouse. Especially early were Apple Green, about 70 days from transplanting, ready in August and still producing. Even the lovely purple striped Listada de Gandia, about 90 days from transplanting, was ready in September and is still producing.
If you are having problems, make sure that you are growing an early maturing variety next year.

Oh dear, I haven't started harvesting them yet........  a very poor year for them. :'(
Shame really as I've got a very good low-fat aubergine curry recipe (but fortunately it also works for courgettes).

I think I'll give up on aubergines.  I had 7 plants this year and have only had 4-5 very small aubergines.  I've pampered them, kept them in the potting shed, watered and fed them.  Mum on the other hand, left hers in its tiny pot, neglected it like crazy and got a beautiful aubergine from her plant.  Last year was also the same, so I don't think they like Sheffield.

Maybe the difference in available light?

Would you recommend removing leaves to let more light to the fruits?

I was meaning daylight hours through latitude.

All mine came in a couple of days ago because, whatever the weather does now, I see no hope for futher growth without disease.
