Just off out to our local Italian restaurant with the kids and Peter's Dad. My birthday has had a bit of a slow start but seems to be gaining impetus as it goes!

One of the highlights has been all your good wishes which have buoyed me up over an impossibly difficult day. Thanks folks. You are really great!

I'll be back later today or early tomorrow to add more. Either here or in "sad news" depending on how I feel. Thank you all so much.

Lovely time at our local Italian restaurant last night. We ate too much and drank too much. A fabulous montepulciano which I intend to find and buy for myself!! And since I wasn't working today I didn't have to worry about getting up and driving to work.

Beautiful flowers from Peter's girls and booze from my lot. I think they've got me taped! ;D ;D
