Allotments 4 All

Went up to the plot today to pick the last of my goosegogs - there was still a good few pounds to pick and I had lots of baking plans ahead, but, even tho they were netted, the lot were gone!  :'( No sign of a berry, stalk or pip, nothing!  I overheard one of the other chaps talking and he reakons someone made it away with his blackcurrants!  I hope there isn't a tea-leaf on our site, with zero security it is a worry!

If a human stole them i hope they have a long run to the loo each time they eat them.

I did wonder squirrels Tim as I have seen one galloping through the trees.  Also, something has started attacking my now netted broad beans, and it looks like claw marks!  I didn't think a squirrel would go under the net and risk getting caught up.  If it is people....well I am bitterly dissapointed as I am the sort of chickaleeta that if someone came up and said, 'ere missus could I have some of your goosegogs', I would happily give them a bowl full!  Oh well, maybe I shall take some cuttings and plant one in my garden as backup next year.  :-\
