At last there is a bit of colour around the place as you can see here; http://tinyurl.com/3dds76 and the sun just seems to emphasize it

I have laid the pictures out as if walking around the garden in a clockwise direction.

WOW! Beautiful, TG, and a tribute to your hard work. Do you open your garden for NGS? And are those blue pansies really that blue?

Tee Gee I never get tired of looking at the photos of your beautiful garden. Just fantastic. Thank you once again for sharing the photos with us.

Absolutely fabulous, Tee Gee. Such a 'happy' garden! Thanks for the guided tour  :)

Garden Manager

Just had a wander around your garden. Lovely photos of a lovely garden. I dont know what you are worried about, plenty of colour there, maybe even more than mine ;D.

Great stuff, thanks for sharing with us.

QuoteDo you open your garden for NGS?

No! I don't think it is large enough or good enough for that matter

Quoteare those blue pansies really that blue?

I had a look and it would appear to be a quirk of the camera they are actually more of a purple. Perhaps it was the way the light was on them that day and the automatic exposure highlighted the blues.

Wow Tee Gee, what a gorgeous garden  :o  ;D  You must've put in a lot of hard work and it shows  ;)  How long have you lived there then to get it in such a beautiful condition?
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

Tee Gee, wonderfull garden lots of hard work there to keep it maintained, but well worth it to get up to that every morning.
T G, have you any seeds you can spare when the time is right for the lovely dark blue plant on photo NO:5 please. Thank you for showing your garden to us all.  Rosebud. ;D

As an NGS gardener and visitor it certainly is good enough... contact your county organiser they are primed to look for different types/scales of garden these days which is how we got our Lotties in..

I agree. I watched the 'Open Gardens' series on the BBC and have visited NGS gardens myself ('did' one yesterday in fact). I definetly think it is 'up to scratch'. The only problem is it either needs to provide 45 minutes of interest or be part of a group of gardens opening in the neighbourhood. You also need to have parking space available nearby (on street will do).

Of course your county organiser will point out any issues that need attending to before opening, but looking at your photos these shouldnt be major.

Why not give it a go, share your garden and make some money for charity at the same time?

Tee Gee

Thanks for all your comments they are much appreciated.

Regarding the NGS I am rather a private person and my wife more than me so to that end I guess we are a bit selfish and keep the garden to our selves.

Displaying it on the forums is just to give people ideas on planting combinations plus it is a way of me recording things that work or indeed don't work for future ideas.

Kitten asked "How long have you lived there ?" around 38 years and it is still not right ??? and I guess it never will be.

Particularly if you see the number of plants I have kicking around the place in pots awaiting more permanent quarters.

Sorry I haven't Rosebud

I presume you mean the ones at the back of the bed? let me tell you they are only a common garden variety of Statice (Limonium) called 'Art Shades' that produces a variety of colours e.g. Pink,White Yellow as well as the blue.

I grow them mainly to use as dried flower arrangements to brighten up the house during the winter months.

Once again thanks for your thoughts.
