that wall of hanging baskets is fantastic  :)

Georgie

I love the first picture especially, Lorna.  I recognise the Borage but what's the other flower growing with it?

Hi georgie. It is Potentilla nepalensis Miss Wilmott (so the label says :)) I planted it 2 years ago then cut it right back last Autumn. It has come back stronger than ever and spreads over quite a large area of the border, it is quite pretty. Hardy perinial
Lorna.

Georgie

Thanks Lorna.  I tried that once (different variety) but sadly the slugs got it.   >:(  Might look out for another one because I think both the foliage and the flowers are very pretty indeed.

Oooooo....a pic of black buckits!

Oh, and the flowers are OK too, Lorna ;D

Georgie. I just popped round to Lorna's for an evening meal and noticed she has a Potentilla, just can't remember the variety but hers has a pretty yellow flower. I might try one.

Lish.I left those buckets near back porch and you didn't even notice them when you came, From Co-op but mine cost 10p each!!

shirlton

I saw them there black buckits as well Lish it seems they are in fash at the mo. The seeds from the potentilla are really easy to grow Georgie you only need a few seeds
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Georgie

Ah yes, I know Shirl, and they are also easily devoured here by the ruddy slugs and snails.   :(  But Lorna, if you have any spare seeds of the yellow one I'd be interested please.  :)
