Just popped infor my sawdust for the buns and what do ya know. Arches for £2.99. thats £2 off the regular price.Tony used them to make a frame for the enviromesh. They work very well. Already have 3 across the top of the garden. Well worth the money
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Amazin that is just plain mean!! We are Wilkies free round here too, and now I have saved it to my favorites and of course will have to buy more than one arch to justify the postage! ;) ;D

SORRY, not on topic at all, but you started it! ;D

There can't be many forums where you start off talking about Wilco's arches and end up with David Ginola eh?! ;D

Had to go into Sutton again yesterday and got 3 more. Just have to get some more enviromes now to make the cloches. I am determined that next year everything that's vulnerable will be going under cover. I have noticed that some beetroot I sowed on the edge of the enviromesh cloche is growing really well. It must create a good enviroment for the stuff.

Well what do ya know. Told everyone on the site about the arches and a fellow plot holder went yesterday and they had gone down to £2.25

Our nearest Wilko's in Northfield has cut back on stocking all the useful stuff to make way for food aisles >:(

So this year no more cheapo arches or pergolas or decking squares :'(

Guess I'll have to be getting the train over to Sutton from now on, Shirl ;D

Are you sure it's not just a seasonal thing, Lish? I noticed when I went to collect my - ahem! - six arches on Monday evening that a lot of the gardening stuff has gone, apart from the furniture, fixtures, etc, and there's quite a bit more food on display.

Perhaps we could have pictures of what's been done with all these arches?

quizzical1

I can't even find them on their website!!!!!!

Shame because I could have used them next year as the basis for a fruit cage.

Perhaps I'll have to revert to Plan A, and utilise the 8 secondhand 8'x3"x3" posts I aquired from Freecycle. Just think the arches would have involved a lot less work.
Grow your own and enjoy the fruits of your labours,
Regards Alan.
