Am I boring you yet with my moaning?  Of course I am.  Sorry.  But blimey I forgot how boring life is at home all alone!  I tidy up first thing after walking back from school, nip round carefully of course, with the hoover, do the dishwasher, put on some washing, make a cuppa, and it is 9.30!  What do I do with the rest of the day?  I am not supposed to be doing anything strenuous for another week!!  Yesterday I weeded, carefully of course, the front garden and cut half the grass out the back, planning to do the other half this afternoon if it doesn't rain.  This morning I emptied our chest freezer, binned all the veggies that were left from last year, gathered all the frozen fruit together to make tutti fruitti jam and chilli jelly, and now I have the fruit stewing down to pass through the jelly bag later, I have already made strawberry jam this morning, the house is spotless, my washing basket is empty, I am just about to walk around and hoover up here.  Bah and humbug!  It's only 11am and I don't collect the children until 3.15!  Tomorrow I am going to the allotment to decide whether I am going to enter the village show at the weekend and then Friday I am going to the supermarket.....doesn't get much more exciting does it!! :-\

You lazy sod!  Why haven't you finished digging the footings for your new garage?

I'm amazed at what you've done already!! I've done nothing at all yet! Thinking of taking stuff to the dump + I've got a dinner party to plan for tomorrow. More weeding to do and a bit of hoovering as well.

Oh well. You've made me feel guilty now. :-[ :-[
Suppose I'd better make a start.

tim

Never one to boast!!

What are the strenuous things that you plan for a week hence??

grawrc

Yes that crossed my mind too! ;)

I think EJ really needs to be getting up the ladder to check out the gutters, Tim. This rain is causing gutter havoc. Get your loo brush working on the fall pipe outlet...Best time to do it is during a thunderous chucking it down period...don't wear wellies, they fill up too fast, wear studded boots and if you use a metal ladder, make sure to take a metal brolly up there with you.       ::)

Don't forget a large toque wrench and socket set, just in case.

Tidying up - whats that? Due for a cuppa, should I wash up the breakfast things - well, yes, I think I should as then I can wash the trays and start more drying off....

Strenuous things will include cleaning the car in and out, going to the dump and getting rid of all MY rubbish in MY shed, getting to the allotment  and cutting paths, planting leeks, digging spuds, painting shed, painting the garage door and my outing to Hyde Hall which I am really looking forward to.  ;D

I could do the guttering Ken...I shall wait for a good storm to blow up and then get out there.  ;D

All jobs done now.....  :-\

No wonder you just had a hernia op... I think i have one developing just imagining you running round.  Do you have some hyperactivity thing going on???  What's your evening routine?

Oh btw when you feel up to it do you fancy coming over for a cuppa and showing me how its all done???? I'll watch of course and make the tea ;D

Hi EJ,

I know what you mean as i am now sitting on my massive back side for 4 months and over time as i want to do more i am actualy being able to do less because of the stupid weather!

All i can suggest are things like visit the dentist for checkup, get hair done, massage, wander around town and visit the charity shops for bargins. Visit cinema during the day - very decadant and a bit stange on your own.

If you stuck for something to watch during the day i would stongly urge you to record a film from the night before the good ones are usualy on about 1am  :-\ Other than that you have House, Relic Hunter, Cagney and Lacey & quincy.

Good Luck

Mrs Ava

Ah, the lovely Ava Banana will be 40 tomorrow.  Life begins apparently....wonder what ends?

My evenings are much like my days, once the sprogs madness reigns!  I finally sit down and chill at about 10pm when I sit infront of the computer.

Never had my thyroid checked, other than being a restless soul, what else would it do??

I am taking it easy, for me, this is very easy, honest injun!

gordonsveg

Know what you mean sadad i was like that until i had my thyroid zapped dont do half what i used to, but we saved a bomb on the electric bill until the radioactive pill wore off.

Of course you could always paint a wall and sit and watch it dry - that'll keep you amused for ages (gloss paint takes longer to dry - don't get any of this quickdrying stuff).  And while you're watching that you can twiddle your thumbs, clockwise for one hour, anti-clockwise for the next hour and so on.  Then, when you're completely out of your mind, you can put on another coat of paint, repeat the procedure and then the wall will be ready to climb  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Doing as little as possible takes an astonishing amount of effort on my part. People just don't appreciate how much effort it takes being lazy. It's taken me years of discipline and meditation to descend to my current level of achieving-nothingness.

You will find, with practice, that even some of the more complex laziness manoeuvres (such as losing a whole day without even realising it) can be accomplished. I doubt that you will be able to get to my level in a week but let me know if you need any tips!

This thread really has me creasing up!
