...early variety potato,judging by yield and flavour?
   For me (from what i've grown so far)
   yield-rocket,but not that tasty
   flavour-arron pilot   :)

Arron Pilot for me

I've tried about 10 varieties so far but without a doubt, for me, Aaron Pilot has the superior flavour.

Which varieties have been successful for you?

I can recommend -

VANESSA - not many tubers but they are very large and make great tasting chips and mash.

MIMI - extremely dwarf foilage, ideal for pots or under cover, HUGE numbers of small tubers. I had 50 potatoes from 1 plant! Blemish-free skins with great taste, similar to Pink Fir.

I've grown only a few varieties of earlies so far (foremost, pentlant javelin, maris peer) but my favourite is Foremost. Great flavour and texture, gorgeous when steamed and eaten with salt and pepper... :P
Yesterday I dug up a few Foremost plants and the tubers were very clean, no sign of pest damage and very uniform in shape. The yield was pretty good too. :)

Can't eat mine quickly enough!  Only tried International Kidney so far and have been thrilled with yield, clean spuds, no pest damage and creamy and sweet.  So delicious, mum went to the allotment and dug herself a bag full to take home!  Unheard of, my mum digging!

A good question-I dug some today and Jen said they were about the best she had tasted-the label must be somewhere?

My second year of Lady Crystl too, just as good as last year, creamy and tasty and they come up very clean.

Tried Mimi for the first time this year - like Rhys says, tiny little pinky reds but absolutely LOADS of them! Very nice flavour too. Getting good yields off TWO plants per black bucket, :o if space is at a premium these are perfect.

Yum yum.  :P

we have grown arran pilot for the 2nd year now... they are lovely.... Great roasted in their skins too - don't par-boil - just plenty of good olive oil and rosemary in a hot oven for 25 minutes - delicious!

premiere vv early ,ulster prince,early ,kestrel 2nd early and desiree, fabulous spuds, not as happy with jersey royals  :)

planted 2 little rows each of arran pilot, duke of york, pentland javelin and rocket.
digging them up backwards (rocket ready first) have had rocket and pentland javelin so far.
rocket have been very nice, really loverly jackets and boiling better with age.
not so impressed with pj, a bit sweet for my taste, but look loverly and clean and white â€" OH was impressed ;D
looking forward to arran pilot, judging by the comments below!

have 8 little rows of 2nd earlies too, but haven't dug any up yet and can't remember which varieties ::)
