Cut Flowers

Just starting my allotment,still in the long hard process of digging :(,weeding,digging ???,planning,digging :'(, oh and did i mention digging :P,anyway not expecting to plant much this year,just clear and plan,but i know as well as fruit and veg i also want lots of flowers,some for me to take home or give away and the rest for the wildlife,can anyone suggest the best  plants for cut flowers,any planting scheme or general advice .Thankyou,Becky.

To start, sunflower, sweet peas,cosmos, dahlia,stocks,larkspur and to sow this year for next sweet williams and Iceland poppies

how about borage, nasturtium, marigold, the bees love the first two and they're good companion plants  :)

there were a few threads on this subject a couple of months ago, so try sticking 'flowers' in the search & i'm sure they'll come up.  In the meantime, we've got nasturtiums, marigolds,  cornflowers, sunflowers, cosmos, love in a mist, poached eggs & a few others to try.  I'd pick what you like in a vase and start from there!
