Just heard on the radio that a farm labourer ploughed the wrong field and destroyed 10,000 pounds worth of asparagus!! Either it was a very big field, or I should be selling mine instead of eating it every day!

Maybe the value of the crop was worked out on what it would have sold for over the 20 years or so that they last.  Poor bloke - hope they don't deduct it from his wages [as a farm labourer that could be a very long time].

Oh dear that's one helluva baaaaaad day  :o

You know, this has been popping into my mind since I first read it and I feel really bad for this poor man.
