Wow!! Manic I just don't know how you do it. Everything looks so great. Good luck with the plant sale, you certainly deserve good results.

wow, that looks great. Wish I could get my brick greenhouse that organised.

OliveOil

Looks great - I really hope it goes well for you!!!

In fact now we have an association I am thinking of mentioning having one maybe next year when we have secured our allotments!

Where do you get all the labels with plant pictures and details on??

some of the plants we bought in as babies from a wholesaler, they came with labels, the rest, ray's had a ball, printed out on the computer on photo paper, posters are laminated, someone else got the leaflets copied for us, shhhh, at work,
next year, we want a few more people getting involved with pricking out and transplanting..there's still a few not putting in but will accept the benefits so make sure you don't do it all yourselves..get 'work days' organised, as many people as you can  :)

Doris_Pinks

Looks great, but all I could think was, Oh my, all that pricking out! :o :o  (which I hate BTW!)  Hope it go's well for you and you make lotsa money, you deserve to! ;D ;D

Wow manics, that is fantastic!! You must have worked really hard to get all those plants ready. Are people ordering their hanging basket stuff from you?
Love pricking out as long as the seedlings not too delicate. Love the meditative air about it - as long as my girls out - drives me mental if they're around, kicking seed trays as they go past and knocking pots over!!  ::)
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

OliveOil

i love pricking uot and potting on too - beats weeding i reckon LOL... I'll pm you ms

cambourne7

i have some seeds which i am told are buzy lizies if you want some to grow for next year.

manicscousers

thanks for all the encouragement, we've been so busy for the past couple of weeks, I'm exhausted, glad the boiler needed changing and I can sit here, talking to you..we've loads of hanging basket plants to sell, thinking next year of offering a hanging basket filling service..

Where do you have your plant sale? Is it done on the lottie, and do the other plot holders sell things too?

It all looks really good. What plants are you selling and what are in your hanging baskets?

Jo.

weedbusta

well done, i'm sure it will be a huge success. we'll be having ours next month. what about filling some of your baskets with tumbling tomoto plants.

manicscousers

we're having it on the lottie, it's to raise funds for the association we've used that much money sorting it out, we could do with some more
we're doing annuals, bedding plants, hanging basket plants, perrennials, shrubs, black buckets with a selection of herbs in, tumbler tomatoes in black buckets,(calling them large pots) with french marigolds
hanging baskets..a selection of surfinia, bocopa, lobelia, alyssum, marigold, I've even done a herb, tomato , chive and french marigold one to see what happens
we've got a great big roll of frost cover fleece standing by for the baskets hopefully we'll miss it
only just over a week to go, getting nervous now  :)

sorry, weedbusta, didn't see that, we're doing the tumblers in free black buckets from asda  ;D

jo9919

Sounds great. Do you get lots of customers from off the lottie?

Hope everything goes well for you and that you get a good day for it  ;D

Manics, I don't know how you do it! I think a hanging basket filling service would be very successful. I'm sure yours would look much nicer than the sad things you see in B&Q et al.  :)
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

manicscousers

all 'my baskets' are unique, I've filled the 10 large baskets with different flower themes, colours, etc
i'm really looking forward to it now, getting excited..some of the other plot holders have 'booked' some plants, one of our mates has bought some veggie plants and potted them up, lettuce, cauli, sprouts, cabbage.
I've got some little gem lettuce, either I'll sell them for people to plant or eat if they're big enough  ;D

busy_lizzie

Wonderful!! It is bound to be a huge success!  Have a great day and I am sure you will take lots of money. Wish we had you on our Site.  :) busy_lizzie

I've spent today planting up again..8 half baskets, 5 more hanging baskets, 15 tomatoes that had gotten too big for their pots..still, there'll be more folk on saturday to give us a lift so we're going to get the site cleared up...got to move old barbed wire and fencing..burn the rubbish and brush sand out of the way..only 5 more hanging baskets to go, no one best bring any more, I'm beginning to hate them !!  >:( ;D

lorna

Manic I am not very good at planting hanging baskets up. Can I pop mine over?? ;D ;D ;D

manicscousers
