Allotments 4 All

Just wanted to say hello to everyone on this great forum (I have been lurking a while - plucking up the courage to join in!).  I am very new to allotments and have been working hard over the last few weeks on my very first veg plots.  I have plenty growing at home in pots (kale, cauli, rocket, lettuce) and have just planted beetroot, turnip, radish on the plot.  I love the peace and quiet on there plus the idea of actually harvesting something I have grown (if all goes to plan!!).  I have attached a picture below - taken a few weeks ago.  Nearly forgot -  I am located in the sunny suburbs of Manchester.  I am sure I will be asking tons of questions over the next few months....

it doesn't rain as much as they say, shirlton but methinks the southern people will be looking for some rain this year if the weather forecast is to be believed..
