Good morning all, the sun is shining and I have 2 lovely days off work !!!!  ;D (sorry about the gloat those that don't !)

I have a box of rose fertiliser and was wondering if I could use it for other stuff - specifically a lemon tree in a container ?? What do you think?

Palustris

If this is so called Tonk's Formula Rose fertiliser then it may be used on any shrub which you want to produce flowers.
Gardening is the great leveller.

Hi Palustris, its called Vitax and is made from poultry manure and a high potash fertiliser derived from sugar beet (so it says on the box!), do you think its the same kind of thing ?

Barnowl

Don't know if it's relevant because the feed is probably PH neutral, but in case it isn't....

Citrus plants prefer an acidic feed - so much so that we were advised not to water with tap water because it's so alkaline here in London.
