the seller I was having trouble with agreed to mutually withdraw the sale to e bay after I had gone to them for advise. it made it look like I wouldn,t pay instead of couldn,t and feedback can still be given so I, m keeping mine on hold just in case
he never did answer any of my messages

I think we all worry about the feedback thing, easy to say I suppose but I always have to look. So far I have been Ok but often wonder what I will feel like if I ever do get a negative. I think I would be devastated but I think it would be so easy as often they sound like sour grapes. Sometimes if I check someones feedback I feel so sorry for some folks as it does seem so unfair sometimes.I also buy quite a lot off Amazon who also have a feedback sytem but I have never used it,I think perhaps that is the best way in e bay.I know some dealers never leave feedback for anybody. I have  a fairly close family member who uses e bay in Canada and I can't resist looking, he has an awful rating and I feel guilty every time I look. I guess I am just nosy but I jus have to see what he has bought lately.Isn't that terrible? XX Jeannine

I buy and sell on EBay.

I managed to collect together a good set of Denbyware.  I started collecting it when I married in 1974 but it shortly became discontinued.  Over the years many of the pieces broke so I was delighted to be able to replace them all and add other pieces to the set when I learnt about EBay.   ;D ;D

I once payed twice for a satellite dish which didn't get sent.  I contacted my local police who said they wouldn't do anything about it  unless there were others who also didn't get their goods.  There were, so I contacted them all and we all put in our reports.  Police visited the dealer in question at his home near Glasgow.  I eventually got my money back through my Credit Card Company as Pay Pal had taken it from them.  I also eventually received a dish.  I offered to pay back the Credit Card Company but they said not to bother.........so I didn't.   :P

I am now very careful about what I buy and carefully check the Feedback.
