Just poured a kettle of hot water in the birdbath to defreeze it for my babes ... it's already frozen over.

All white outside - frost this time but snow expected....

V.V. Cold in here too! Having new windows in, and they have just taken all my old ones out! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

just looked outside, one of my broad beans in the pots IN the slightly heated newly repaired g/h look all droopy and like the frost's been at it.

and my hellebore under the hedge is definitely droopy.

Lordy !

My hellebore this morning looks worse for wear it really is drooping i hope it recovers it is a very old one.

Blooming cold here in my part of Essex this morning.  -1 on the car themometer.  The children and I washed the car yesterday after school....it looked like an iceberg this morning...a clean one, though.  ;D  A beautiful clear crisp day however, a joy to work outside although the 8 layers of thermals did hinder me a little.

Cold here too. We are having heavy snow since 12  o'clock, everything white.

woke up last night as the frost guard on the heating kicked on and the house was a little 2 warm, temp inside 19.5 outside -5.5.

When i left this moring it was -4.2

BRING ON THE SNOW

the bags are in the car ready for it i only hope its no 2 bad as i have a 2 hour drive to the exam friday :-(

its -1 now just got home

picked up the stuff for a nice irish stew ( WITH BEEF) for tomorrow, will pop it on now to simmer long and slow yum yum

Tell me about it ! i've been outside up a ladder most the afternoon repairing a window.  So no messin about tonight - steak-n-kindey pie, chips and peas coming my way in 10 minutes - followed by rubarb crumple and custard  :P then probably down the pub later to sit in front of the fire for a few hours.

no snow here in donny..............but very icy................very very icy............as i found out last night at work.
if ice came in bright colours i maybe would have noticed it!

as it was.....the damage to the wall wasnt too bad.................the brand new tractor (fresh off the production line and ready for shipping out to finland)..........cushioned the blow of my forklift...............which im sure would have won first place on that recent "dancing on ice" program!!!

both tractor and forklift are "doing as well as can be expected"..as they say!
spent the rest of the night/morning picking up various bits and bobs of the tractor.........and spreading grit so the same thing didnt happen today on the day shift!

Been cold here all day the L J's got another airing, beef casserole is bubbling in the oven so it's not all bad.   ;D ;D ;D
