Allotments 4 All

I bought some onion sets last week, but they are starting to sprout green shoots, can they be planted now or put in the dark to slow down the growing?

we've had to plant ours in cells, they had sprouted that much, it was do that or lose them  :-\

thats a good idea, I will do that with some of them

Oooh that's good, thanks for the advice, some of the red onion sets i bought last week are shooting already.  If they get too big I'll stick them in some modules & see what happens x

and keep them quite cool e.g in a sheltered spot outdoors, if kept indoors they will take off and get leggy.
