lol.....well....i've just got several areas to fill. i have a patio that i love to fill up with pots of all sizes. the garden's about 3 meters by 7.....and about half of that is a huge border that goes all the way round...about 1.5 meters deep. i also have a back garden that's paved over but about the same size. about half of that should hopefully be taken over by the greenhouse soon...but still need to fill the rest of the area with pots. i've also got little patches or bordered soil around the pavement and the drive where i can grow little plants/bulbs/climbers etc. i have a little patch about 1 meter by 2 meters that's growing conifers in the middle of the 2 driving spaces that needs to be filled. i also have about.....12 hanging baskets to fill....well....for the summer anyway. i also have a huge cherry tree to grow a couple of climbers against. i also want to grow plants for the house and the greenhouse. and it never hurts to have a few spare to share and experiment with :)

so yes....my whole house is probably going to look like alice in wonderland.....but after caring for so many plants in just my house and then having a fulltime job aswell....i just won't get any time for the lottie.

going "off topic" now, but i'm beginning to think that i'll be biting off more than i can chew taking on a lottie as well as the garden which is cream crackering me atm.

however when my name gets to the top of the list, i'll reconsider !

i was so disappoined with some of my fleurs this year (probably cos i didn't read the instructions) that i'm limiting next years efforts to those i know and scrapping some of the less than successful veggies too.

don't forget the pics !

i know what you mean. i want to do everything right next year...and i'd rather spend all my time and effort on my garden and having my little successes than taking on a big project without really having too much experience in it. and then ending up neglecting my garden a bit aswell.

and besides...all that manure for the lottie....just imagine if you put it all on the garden.

My God Wahaj, what a list!! it's difficult not to be greedy.

Could i have a few tigerella tomato seeds, i tried red hot pokers and Chinese lanterns last year, and they didn't even poke their heads above the soil. could i please have some of yours, and any tips on germinating.

i don't have any of the flower seeds you've listed, but i could send you some godetia. or a wee mixture of surprise seeds.

Is the poppy seed fresh? I'm interested in the Meconopsis betonicifolia (both sorts), both sorts of Welsh Poppy, and Horned Poppy. I haven't been able to find out what the latter is, but it sounds intriguing.

the horned poppy is like somewhere between a single californian poppy and a welsh poppy....and it's a sort of redish orange colour. dunno why it's called the horned poppy. maybe because it has a horn shaped seed pod like californian poppies.

and unfortunately....i don't have very many fresh seeds. i mean they're all sealed in seed packs....

i've no idea on chinese lanterns as i only bought them the other day. but the red hot pokers....i've heard that they're very invasive so i'm sure why you didn't have any success. i basically used a seed tray with a lid...and put in some very sandy compost. just sprinkled loads of seeds on the surface and covered them very lightly. watered them once and they germinated within a week. i sowed them not too long ago...so it may be that they need a drop in temperature in the night to germinate...as they normally grow in deserts and sea sides.

rutters

Hello Wahaj, I'm really interested in your grasses, I'm just looking to start growing grasses for their ornamental value so I don't know a great deal about them yet.

Anyway I don't have anything on your wanted list but you wrote that you may consider other things so here goes..I have Fennel, angelica, winter thyme, sage, perrenial marjoram  and aubergine romagna.

Hope we can trade.
